Türkiye Bursları: eligibility, funding and application
Türkiye Bursları combines financial support with university placement. Start by matching your degree level, age and academic preparation, then choose programmes whose teaching language and subject requirements you can actually meet.
Türkiye Bursları combines degree placement and financial support, with academic and age conditions by level. The recurring January–February calendar is not confirmation that a new 2027 call is open.
Next step: Check your degree eligibility, then prepare a programme shortlist and documents for the next named official announcement.
Named cycle and deadline status
Dated records are compared with today's date in your browser. The current programme portal remains the authority for availability and applicant conditions.
Türkiye Scholarships: prepare for the next degree call
Check official site
Annual Jan–Feb calendar; next named call must be verified
Current status: prepare before the next full-time call
The official full-time programme page describes the recurring application period as 10 January–20 February. That calendar is useful for preparation; it is not evidence that a new application round is already open in October 2026. Confirm the named intake in TBBS before relying on a deadline.
Use the months before applications to obtain missing academic records, compare courses and ask suitable referees. A polished statement cannot repair an ineligible age, qualification or programme choice. Keep research and short-term schemes separate from the full-time degree route described here.
Check the level-specific rules first
The official criteria distinguish undergraduate and graduate applicants. The figures below are minimum screening conditions, not an indication that an applicant with that mark will be selected. Your qualification and the current call must also satisfy the published rules.
The official criteria exclude Turkish citizens and people who have lost Turkish citizenship, as well as applicants already enrolled at a Turkish university at the same level they intend to apply for. Graduating applicants should check the published completion timing, including the before-August condition.
On a small screen, scroll the table sideways to compare all columns.

Programme language is a separate decision
Do not read “without IELTS” as “no language evidence is ever required”. English-taught and other non-Turkish programmes can require an accepted language certificate, and some programmes require an admission test. Check the actual university requirements shown for the course.
Create a short programme sheet with teaching language, subject prerequisites, accepted certificates and your missing evidence. Keep the name of each qualification exactly as it appears on your transcript. A programme that looks attractive but does not match your preparation is a weak preference.
Published funding and what your own budget still needs
The reviewed full-time programme page lists these monthly stipends: undergraduate TRY 6,500, master’s TRY 9,500 and PhD TRY 13,000. It also describes placement, tuition, accommodation, insurance, a Turkish-language year and specified flight support. The current award terms control payment and benefits.
Keep costs incurred before selection separate: documents, any required translations or tests, passport arrangements and interview travel if relevant. These are planning categories, not a claim that every applicant pays each item. An advertised award is not cash available before a selection decision.
General Türkiye Bursları and the IsDB–YTB joint route
The joint route has its own country/degree list and named call. IsDB membership does not establish eligibility for every joint degree level. Use the dedicated guide before choosing a joint-programme option in TBBS.
For independent university admission, compare the actual institution’s application and scholarship process. Do not assume that the general scholarship’s placement route and a self-funded university application have identical steps.
Build a document file that matches your chosen route
Use one folder per application with an evidence index. Mark an item as ready only after checking legibility, correct name, full pages and the format requested by the portal. When your degree is not yet complete, establish whether the call accepts a provisional certificate and by which date.
Documents such as international examination results, language certificates and a research proposal are conditional on level or programme. Do not upload an invented proposal or irrelevant test just to make a checklist longer.

Use TBBS as a sequence of decisions
Apply yourself through the official scholarship system. Draft long answers locally so that you can check spelling and preserve a copy; then follow the current field limits in the portal. A draft saved on your computer is not a submitted application.
1Create or access your own TBBS account on the official domain.
2Complete identity, education and other requested profile fields accurately.
3Compare the eligible programmes actually available to your profile.
4Enter preferences and explain the academic reason behind them.
5Upload the required evidence, review every section and submit when the call is open.
6Save the confirmation and monitor the official account for further instructions.
A letter of intent should explain a real academic choice
A useful answer connects previous preparation, the intended course and a credible next step. Avoid generic praise of Türkiye that would work for every subject. Explain one relevant project, what it taught you and which learning gap the chosen degree would address.
Teaching example
A programme-fit paragraph
In my final-year water-quality project, I compared low-cost monitoring methods and learned that our sampling design limited the conclusions. I now want structured training in environmental data analysis. When choosing programmes, I am comparing their methods modules and research opportunities rather than selecting by city alone.
Fictional teaching example. Use only your own project, verified programme information and the actual application prompt.
Review before you submit, not after the deadline
Read the complete application once as a reviewer who does not know you. Do the preferences agree with your subject background? Do dates, grades and activities match the evidence? Does each answer address the actual question?
For an interview invitation, use the official selection instructions to prepare. Retain your submitted answers so that you can discuss your choices honestly. The next useful action is to resolve the weakest required item, not to add more unrelated achievements.
Connect the scholarship plan to admission and arrival
For each programme preference, record the teaching language, any accepted test and the reason it fits your academic preparation. Keep MEB school equivalence, entry documentation and later residence tasks on the calendar, with the applicable official owner.
Official sources and verification
Source records support the guide. Page update dates describe editorial changes; they do not mean every linked rule was checked again today. Reopen the current call for your programme and intake.
Pakistani applicants should check the current eligible-applicant rules and the programmes available to their profile. Nationality alone does not establish eligibility or guarantee selection.
Is IELTS compulsory for every programme?+
No single rule covers every programme. A chosen teaching language or university may require an accepted certificate or another admission test.
Do I apply separately to a university?+
The full-time scholarship includes placement. Follow the scholarship portal instructions for your preferences rather than assuming a separate admission route applies.
Are the stipend figures a confirmed 2027 award?+
No. They are the figures on the official full-time programme page at this review. The next named call and issued award terms decide future amounts and coverage.
