IsDB–YTB joint scholarship: eligibility and application route

The IsDB–YTB joint scholarship is a partnered funding route for study in Türkiye. Start with the country-and-degree list, not with a broad claim that every IsDB member is eligible at every level.

Current status and route at a glance

This is the partnered IsDB–YTB programme, not every scholarship offered by IsDB. A current-looking IsDB headline for another scheme does not establish that this joint call is open.

Check country eligibility at the degree level

The attachment linked from the 2026 notice lists associate/bachelor’s and master’s country groups separately from PhD eligibility. For example, Pakistan and Indonesia appear in the PhD country group; that does not establish access to every undergraduate or master’s route.

Use a three-part check: your country, intended degree and the eligible field/programme. If one part does not match, do not infer eligibility from IsDB membership alone. When a new call appears, repeat this check because the attachment can change.

Original case: a Pakistani applicant seeking a master’s sees Pakistan in the document’s PhD section. They should not treat that entry as a master’s entitlement. They need the relevant degree section or a clarification from the programme owner, and can separately research the general Türkiye Bursları route.

Funding coverage: read the joint award’s own terms

The 2026 notice describes tuition, monthly support, accommodation support, insurance, a Turkish-language year and specified round-trip travel. It does not make every feature of a different IsDB scheme applicable to this route.

Do not attach a stipend from an unrelated programme or describe the joint award as a loan based only on another IsDB scholarship’s conditions. Read the joint call and issued agreement for the current amounts, duties and any later obligations. This guide does not assert a current joint stipend amount or unverified repayment rule.

How the joint route is selected in TBBS

The 2026 announcement directed eligible candidates to select “Yes” in the Joint Scholarship Programs section of the Türkiye Scholarships application. That is the instruction for the reviewed call; the next named announcement controls any future form.

Use your own account and keep a record of the submitted route. If the option or programme is not available to your profile, first recheck country, level and the current application period. Do not alter factual education or nationality information to force a route to appear.

Prepare a programme-fit file before the next call

Build the academic case around the degree and eligible field. Identify a real problem you want to work on, the preparation you already have and the training the programme would add. Use evidence from your own work rather than a generic development slogan.

Original outline: an applicant interested in water systems identifies a specific monitoring gap, explains a relevant project and lists the methods training they need. They then compare the eligible programmes against that learning need. A shortlist made this way gives the statement a clearer purpose than a list based only on city preference.

Compare the joint route with other funding

The joint award, general Türkiye Scholarships and university funding have different selection and coverage decisions. Do not create a duplicate university application solely because a third-party article says every route requires one; follow the relevant programme’s actual process.

Keep alternative plans in separate rows. Record whether admission is included, whether a separate university offer is required and which costs remain. An application you may make later cannot be counted as confirmed finance for a self-funded offer today.

Before using a joint scholarship deadline

Check the named year and degree list again. A closed article with an unchanged “apply now” heading should not become your application calendar.

Frequently asked questions

Is the IsDB–YTB scholarship open now?+

The reviewed 2026 period ended on 20 February 2026. This guide confirms no open 2027 joint call; check the named official announcement.

Can Pakistani students apply for every IsDB–YTB degree?+

Do not assume so. Pakistan appears in the reviewed attachment’s PhD country group. Eligibility for another degree must be checked in that degree’s own list.

Do I apply through a separate IsDB portal?+

The reviewed 2026 joint notice directed applications through Türkiye Scholarships and its Joint Scholarship Programs selection. Follow the next named call for future instructions.

Is a general IsDB scholarship announcement the same programme?+

No. Verify that the notice explicitly names the YTB–IsDB joint route. Other IsDB programmes can have different years, eligibility, funding and obligations.
