Undergraduate admission: qualification and category

The official procedures set out international admission categories and require applicants to be graduating from or completing high school. Citizenship and school history matter, so use the current university rules for your own case.

Prepare a qualification record before ordering tests: exam/diploma title, awarding body, result date and programme choice. Ask the admissions office which current accepted qualification and language rules apply. Do not use a domestic placement cut-off as a guaranteed international admission score.

Original example: an applicant holds A-levels and sees an SAT score in an old guide. They first ask whether their existing qualification is accepted for the chosen degree. Taking an additional test makes sense only if it answers a current entry requirement or strengthens their evidence, not because an old list mentions it.

What an undergraduate tuition scholarship covers

The cited undergraduate policy describes academic scholarship support as tuition-only. It also distinguishes outside bilateral awards, whose own agreements govern coverage. Do not infer free housing, meals, travel or monthly cash from a tuition award.

For a usable offer comparison, request five items in writing: tuition before aid, the award amount, years or semesters covered, any preparation-period treatment and remaining charges. Keep award conditions with the acceptance letter so you can revisit them before registration.

Thesis graduate funding is a separate assessment

Koç’s published thesis master’s/PhD scholarship rules describe funding through a graduate-policy framework, with the specific package subject to university decisions. The linked Health Sciences faculty handbook also distinguishes project funding and other routes. These older policy documents explain categories; they do not verify a 2026/27 stipend amount.

Evaluate research fit before comparing headline benefits. Identify the lab or research group, the proposed methods, the supervisor’s work and the training the degree requires. Ask the graduate school whether the package is institutional, project-funded or externally sponsored, and what happens if funding or supervision changes.

Documents and questions before submitting

Keep undergraduate, graduate and external scholarship applications in separate portal records. A saved draft is not a submitted application. Check whether referee requests, test-score delivery or a portfolio have independent completion requirements.

For a graduate enquiry, explain the research question, relevant preparation and programme you are considering. Ask a small number of precise questions about supervision and funding. A generic message requesting any fully funded place gives the department little evidence of fit.

• Degree and academic evidence: identify the required transcripts, final qualification and accepted result format.
• Programme evidence: prepare the requested statement, research interests, portfolio or references for that degree.
• Timing: obtain the current call, document deadline and offer-response date.
• Funding: confirm remaining tuition, stipend months, housing and continuation terms.
• Arrival: coordinate enrolment, visa and residence with actual dates.

We have not independently verified a current Koç 2026/27 tuition amount in this review because the live fee page restricted retrieval. This page therefore does not reuse 2024 brochure prices as today’s fees. Ask Koç for the current schedule for your programme and applicant category.
