Full T Level points by overall grade
The Department for Education lists the full-award tariff below. A Pass with core C or above has a different value from a Pass with core D or E. The core grade therefore matters even when two results both say Pass.

| Overall result | UCAS points |
|---|---|
| Distinction* | 168 |
| Distinction | 144 |
| Merit | 120 |
| Pass: core C or above | 96 |
| Pass: core D or E | 72 |
Why Pass can mean 96 or 72
Do not look up Pass without the associated core result. A full Pass in the higher core band gives 96 points, while the lower core band gives 72. The difference is 24 points; it is not a discretionary bonus a student can add to a record.
For a hypothetical minimum of 96 that accepts the relevant T Level, the higher-band full Pass reaches the numeric threshold and the lower band does not. That calculation does not confirm subject suitability or any additional conditions.
Partial achievement is a different lookup
Current Department for Education guidance describes tariff allocation for partial achievement where the placement and only one other component have been completed. The applicable entry depends on the achievement recorded. Do not borrow the full-award value or invent a universal core-only tariff.
Use the official UCAS lookup with your subject and exact result. Our simplified calculator supports full awards only; a missing partial-award option means it is outside this tool, not that it is worthless or rejected by every university.

Tariff comparison does not decide university acceptance
A full T Level is aligned with three A levels in tariff size, but the course may specify acceptable T Level subjects or additional academic preparation. Ask whether your particular pathway is accepted, which overall result is required, and whether separate Mathematics, science or GCSE conditions apply.
On a small screen, scroll the table sideways to compare all columns.
| Field | Record from your documents |
|---|---|
| Exact T Level title | Use the formal title and subject |
| Achievement type | Full award or named partial achievement |
| Overall grade and core grade | Keep both available |
| Course route | Accepted subject and required result |
| Additional conditions | GCSE, portfolio, interview or other evidence |
Use the next step that matches your situation
If you are still studying, use the full-award table for an explicitly labelled prediction and revisit it when results are issued. If the outcome differs from your offer, contact the university using your actual record rather than relying on a tariff estimate.
The qualification results service and the provider decide official status. A points worksheet helps you ask better questions; it does not amend a result or accept an offer.
